EFD Creative Featured on Style Me Pretty – Indian Fusion Wedding

Working on Priyanka and Dan’s wedding was truly a special experience at EFD Creative. Because of their different backgrounds, the couple wanted to create an experience that infused Priyanka’s Indian traditions with a traditional American-style wedding.

The inspiration for the wedding started with color, and the couple was excited to incorporate jeweled tones for the look and feel. Priyanka’s family was making several trips to India, so I spent time working with them on specific items to bring back, including the cocktail hour table linens and other décor.

Branding Your Wedding – EFD Creative

Many brides like the idea of branding their wedding and incorporating their own special look and feel, but are not sure how to apply it to their big day. Despite the fact that we’ve all heard of the term and understand it at some level, it helps to break it down to its key elements. Then it becomes easy to see how branding can turn their special day into a spectacular event that people will remember and talk about long after the bride and groom have left for their honeymoon!

A Countryside Wedding in New England

There are many places to have your wedding in New England…this region offers a variety of venues from the skyscrapers of Boston, to the mansions of Newport, to the out of the way countryside estates.

This past October, EFD Creative – Event Planning & Design had the pleasure to work at Lord Thompson Manor in Connecticut, which offers the country getaway. The estate is located on 40 acres, beautifully landscaped, with a timely romantic feel. It’s a wonderful place for family and friends to gather for a destination wedding weekend.

What to consider when choosing a wedding planner – From The Wedding Brander™

1: What should brides consider when choosing a wedding planner to work with?

A bride should look for a professional wedding planner who knows the industry, is organized, and has the experience and references to vouch for their work. However, probably one of the most important aspects of choosing the right planner is to look for someone you feel comfortable with. Remember, the wedding planner is one of the most important people in a bride’s life leading up to and during the big day. Brides should look for a planner they connect with, who is open to their ideas, but can also help shape their vision and bring it all together. My advice is to spend time interviewing your prospective wedding planner in person so you can understand how the planner works, their pricing model, their philosophy in working with clients, and if you enjoy being around them!

What does it mean to brand a wedding? – From The Wedding Brander™

This is a question I often get from new brides. They’ve heard of the term branding and know that many celebrities have “branded” themselves as a way to market their image and sell their products. Martha Stewart is perhaps one of the best-known brands. When you think of Martha Stewart, you immediately conjure up images of a certain lifestyle, décor and high taste. She is the ultimate icon of American domesticity. She’s built an empire around this image, with her award-winning television program, best-selling magazine, and multiple books on cooking, gardening, and home decorating. This is her brand, and it has made her millions.
