NACE National – Wedding of the Year
Edna Dratch-Parker and Kasie Donoghue of EFD Creative-Event Planning & Design has been recognized for its work as The Wedding Brander™ by the National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) and was awarded the National “Wedding of the Year” for their outstanding work designing and planning an August 2014 wedding for their client Sharon & Chris.

The NACE awards program gives recognition to the nation’s top catering and events professionals, highlighting the accomplishments of chapters, individuals and teams who worked collaboratively to create a successful event during the past year.

The NENACE awards are judged by industry peers. Dratch-Parker received the award during the organization’s awards ceremony held on May 7, 2013. “We are pleased to honor the work of top catering and events professionals who not only excel in their fields, but who also meet the highest service standards in our industry,” said Jill Person, vice president of communications and membership, NENACE. “The NENACE annual awards program identifies those individuals who have risen to the top of their craft in a variety of categories. Edna Dratch-Parker at EFD Creative impressed our judges with a beautiful Indian fusion wedding that deserved recognition in this year’s awards program. Biz Bash – Social Event Planner of the Year
Edna Dratch-Parker of EFD Creative – Event Planning & Design was selected as a winner of the inaugural BizBash Boston Readers’ Choice Awards by BizBash Media, the leading trade media for the event industry. EFD Creative was chosen as “Social Event Planner of the Year,” an award that its founder Edna Dratch-Parker received at the ceremony announcing the winners, held at the BizBash Expo on Thursday, November 10, at Fenway Park.
BizBash’s Boston readers and online users nominated and then voted on finalists in nine categories, including Event Producer of the Year, Venue Manager of the Year, Caterer of the Year, and Association/Nonprofit Event Planner of the Year. Finalists campaigned heavily, especially on social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, resulting in over 25,000 votes.
