Nestled between Africa and Europe, Morocco is known for its intricate architecture and incredible use of vibrant colors. “I really fell in love with the Botanical Gardens at Roger Williams Park because the greenery was a perfect fit for our Moroccan-style vision for this photo shoot. The tropical plants captured the feel of Northern Africa and played perfectly into the décor,” Edna Dratch-Parker of EFD Creative – Event Planning & Design described. Partnering with SYB Event Panning and New Leaf Flores, they transformed the Botanical Gardens into a mecca of Moroccan style. Two seating areas, a lounge, and ceremony area were styled to highlight architectural and interior design aspects of the culture. Every detail perfectly captured the essence of Moroccan spirit. The main dining table was draped with a gorgeous linen in a delicate mosaic pattern and nestled into beautiful botanical foliage, while ornate lanterns hung like chandeliers above a low table filled with flora, delicious sweets and tea service. New Leaf Flores sourced textural blooms in vibrant fuchsia, orange, and purple to enhance the tropical foliage in the garden. The explosion of color was balanced exquisitely by the surrounding botanicals and gilded décor.
