One of our favorite venues is the Boston Harbor Hotel. We loved working with Sammie and Jeff on their beautiful summer wedding on the water. This stunning wedding was featured on the popular website. See the full post here > Borrowed & Blue.
From the bride ~
Jeff and I met while working for the same consulting company in July, 2011 in Stamford, Connecticut. After being together for nearly 4 years,Jeff and I took a walk to our favorite local ice cream shop, and when we got back I decided to do a little gardening. I was grabbing a fist full of dirt out of a bag when Jeff came out on our deck in (I kid you not) a blue Captain America T-shirt, green plaid cargo shorts, and a brown tweed blazer. I remember laughing at the sight of him and blurting out ‘What are you wearing!?’ next thing I know Jeff was down on one knee. I was so surprised and beaming with excitement!
Being a high-tech nerd, I knew next to nothing about weddings…in fact, I was clueless. I was so lucky to meet Edna from EFD Creative ~she became my fairy wedding godmother! I particularly enjoyed my time planning and designing with her. She introduced me to vendors and together we worked to create the perfect day.
I have always loved things that are very classy, but a little wild and funky without being over the top. I knew I loved the idea of having a cascading bouquet (my great grandmother had a gorgeous one) but I wanted one that was unique with a modern twist, with unusual flowers, like air plants.
Every detail of our wedding day was spot on, from the service at the Boston Harbor Hotel, to the food, florals, cake and even the attention to detail for the lighting ~ the way the colors emulated the sunset was breathtaking and transformed the room into magic!I know I couldn’t have envisioned any of it without the guidance of the EFD Creative team Edna and Kasie and all my talented vendors. With the love and support of my family it truly was a night to remember!
