Ten years to the day after their first date, Kate and Mark married on the bloom filled farmers porch of their lovely home. Edna Dratch-Parker of EFD Creative – Event Planning & Design, helped them create their charming backyard event. “The feeling was meant to initaite and cozy, and homemade,” recalled Dratch-Parker. “They loved the vintage rustic look, so we worked hard to create a tent wedding that would illustrate their vision” To infuse meaning into very inch of the wedding, Katie called upon friends and family to help execute the details. “My brother cut the wood rounds that help our centerpieces, Marks mother made the linen table clothes, I made the chalkboard menus and hand painted all the signs that Mark cut from scrap wood, Katie revealed, “bringing our vision to life with these handcrafted details was a lot if fun.” Warm amber lighting with an organic leaf motif projected onto the tent added a romantic vibe. The lighting, along with an abundance of mason jars and candles, made for a just the right ambiance it was key to the vintage look and feel, explained Katie. Throughout the day, guests were encouraged to enjoy the couples bocce court, horseshoe pit, and zip line, and make themselves right at home. “Katie and Mark put their personal stamp on the event,” shared Dratch-Parker “and I was able to see how perfect for each other and I learn a lot about their romantic vie of the world as I saw the wedding unfold”
