From the Bride ~

From the moment we walked into the Madera Ballroom at The Villa, we knew we had found our venue. The space was very warm, intimate, and cozy. Walking into the ballroom conjured up the feeling of being invited into a home. This was exactly what we wanted.

As we began going through the branding process with Edna from EFD Creative, she was able to help us balance our love of the raw beauty of The Villa while at the same time, creating the look and feel that would be a true reflection of our unique and vibrant style.

I love pink and bling, but also wanted our wedding to maintain a soft and classic feel. In every design detail, Edna was able to find the perfect way for us to combine our color palette with traces of tasteful sparkle, and splashes of fuchsia to express our fun-loving energy, while creating a truly elegant event.

Throughout the cocktail room, Edna helped us to create a simple and clean look, working in a few subtle pops of fun. We used classic silver linens and a small flower arrangement on each cocktail table surrounded by a few votive candles. We had fuchsia striped straws which we matched to our signature drink, and we used silver cocktail napkins brushed with a light fuchsia script.

The Ballroom is where Edna really helped us to create the wow factor! The purple table linens that we used also included undertones of a silver metallic shimmer. We then had our menus wrapped with fuchsia napkins that were placed on top of textured silver charger plates, and we used fuchsia seat cushions against silver chivari chairs, creating just the right amount of pop!

We had our calligrapher use a combination of silver and fuchsia script for our welcome sign, marriage contract, place cards and table numbers, and we used lots of votives and floating candles on the tables and other spaces within the ballroom, including on the mantels above each fire place. My husband and I didn’t want a traditional wedding cake, so Edna helped us to use this as another opportunity to create something unique and fun. We had cake pops designed in a combination of our wedding colors, brushed with a sugar sparkle, and had them arranged into the shape of a 3-tier wedding cake!  We also had cookies made in our wedding colors with a yin and yang design to symbolize our love and balance of one another.

Down to every last detail, our wedding day was more perfect than we ever could have dreamed it to be! We can’t say enough about how phenomenal our experience was with EFD Creative and how grateful we are for everything that they did to make our wedding day absolutely flawless.
