From the Grooms ~
Our wedding was so much more than we ever could have dreamed! With the guidance, direction and discerning eye of Edna of EFD Creative, we were able to have a Mad-Men inspired wedding with details upon details that friends and family are still talking about!
Being a same-sex couple, it was important to us that our overall wedding look and feel to be more masculine than a typical wedding – and from the very beginning Edna and all of our amazing vendors made that happen. The Omni Parker House was the perfect venue for our Boston-based wedding where the majority of guests were traveling from other states. The Rooftop Ballroom has fantastic views and ambience on its own – and when flowers from Tangerine Creations and up-lighting and centerpiece spotting from Groove Events were added – it took our breath away.
Every detail, decoration, and thought captured the mid-century modernism and masculine-vibe that we were after. Allegro Photography captured our mid-century modern style with a fantastic engagement photo shoot where the photos were then incorporated into the table’s centerpieces and a Mad Men movie poster was created and strategically placed to greet guests entering the cocktail reception space. The table settings incorporated black square place settings, gray table cloths & black chairs – all to highlight and complete our orange and gray color palette.
Our guests had a terrific time, thanks to the Omni’s fantastic food and drinks and entertainment – the dance floor was literally full until the very end (many of our guests didn’t want to leave!)
Edna from EFD Creative guided us with her expertise and design knowledge every step of the way to create a wedding that was unforgettable not only for us – but for our friends and family as well. It was an incredibly special day where everyone involved could feel the outpouring of love for my husband and I.
